it all comes together now

tonight is one of those days (or nights) when my mind refuses to let my body go to bed.

yesterday i met my bestest friend + roomie in this whole world
really, i could tell her anything & everything
and she's one large, extra large blessing in my life
after our talk i concluded every family has their own situations & every person has their own issues and problems to deal with
really miss those days when we were roomies.
wished we had spent more quality time together. but waking up and knowing she's just beside, or looking forward to her coming back from home... we were like a les couple muhahah...
it was a feeling of stability and security :)
anyway, we went to sakae sushi. it has been such a long time since we had sushi there together.
remember those days when we went to have their buffets and we will try (ok its me!! haha) all means & ways to hide the rice rolls so that we can just eat the 料 on top of the 寿司 and not get fined for wasting food :D
i think back to those days when she was just my classmate, someone wearing baggy uniforms, always in pinafores and that unruly curly hair with bangs. gosh that was like almost 10 years ago. and i smile to myself as i look at her now
change is sooooooo possible (Never Say Never!)
she now buys coach sunglasses kay! : )
and shops with me at aldo! hehehe....
i love her to bits and our friendship will always grow stronger & stronger!

today's the 3rd day at eftc.
can you believe, we actually play Wii to relax & compete for prizes in office.
in fact its pre-arranged and everyone has a schedule to play..
it was my first Wii experience. played tennis & bowling
i am quite awed by the technology nowadays.
(okay i know i am quite lagging & slow)
the characters inside the game were so adorable and full of kawaii expressions
funny thing was when i was bowling, i didnt swing the remote in the right direction
and the bowling ball swung backwards
and the characters reactions were damn funny.
try it if you dont believe.
besides that, the very idea of Wii is quite genius
everything is like motion detection
especially while playing tennis, it felt like a real tennis game except that you dont have to run around the field & the characters do that for you.
real cool. im really impressed even though im not usually a games person.
i still live in the era of Sega games & playstation. (which i think my mum recently just threw away during CNY spring cleaning)

i think im really lucky and in some ways i feel surreal
that i am finally at that kind of company whereby work is not so monotonous & serious all day
the people are also quite friendly, and it seems like i can end work at 6-7pm.
gosh, quite unbelievable.
the best is when i leave at 615pm my boss doesnt even bat an eyelid
she doesnt suddenly want to have a meeting with me or run thru checklists with me
i feel like a free independent person here
that feeling is just awesome. its like im in a bigger agency but can still have work/life balance?
its just hard to believe.
job scope wise, im picking up... and though it is still not totally what i hope to be doing, i believe this is the first step only.. and this will be an easier stepping stone for me to move to other agencies in future.
my target agencies are TBWA, Leo Burnett & BBDO.
why these 3?
first 2 because i've been there for interviews & im in awe.
and BBDO because they asked me for an interview & hence i must return there someday ahha.
but seriously i guess my dream agency for now is still Leo Burnett.
for now & the year ahead i will just work hard & climb towards my dream.
despite my 3-jobs-in-a-year predicament,
im still really blessed to be here right now
being in a big agency really allows me to see things on a more macro point of view
things are more organised & there are rarely last-minute things
ads are planned way in advance, and they are all backed by statistics & awesome logic
and the clients dont tell you what to do
you tell them what & convince them
its a great feeling to be able to sway & persuade
even though im not so good at it now, i will be some day.
i will be a great AE/AM/AD and able to sell any ad with confidence, poise & persuasion.
one can always dream : )

its really time to hit the sack.
thursday tomorrow, whee!
& im going HK next weekend.......

goodbye or see you,
I'll be your best kept secret or your biggest mistake.

Consider the postage stamp: its usefulness consists in the ability to stick to one thing till it gets there. ~Josh Billings

nice quote there. the story of stuck snails below.

anyway, i flushed 2 mini snails down the toilet bowl.
the snails were imported from our neighbouring country, Malaysia
they were driven all the way from Pontian to Kulai back to Singapore while they were
hidding comfortably in the pandan leaves that my mum brought back from my uncle's house
somehow the snails escaped death by crushing and planted themselves on the walls of my toilet
at first there was only one, so i took a bucket of water, poured over it, but it remained glued to the wall surface
i decided to close one eye.
one side of me was wondering whether it will grow into a large snail, those that i used to see and almost narrowly stepped on after it rains, in hall 12.
then today i came home and saw another one
i took alot of toilet paper (sorry, trees), tried not to think about how mushy/squishy those things felt under the thin paper, grabbed them off the walls (felt so disgusted at their texture) and i flushed them away.
will the snails enjoy swimming, you think?
i did what i had to do.
at least you breathed the singapore air for a week & celebrated CNY with us.
oh did i mention, they were the size of buttons.
so much so that i mistook the bronze button on my mother's shorts as another snail.
dont haunt me tonight, snails.

asos dresses that are <3<3<3

love this purple.

i think the back design of this is slightly nicer than the purple one. and can probably cover the bra strap so no need for nubra.

Love the poster for NINE. it speaks of glamour, mystery, sex and one leading man with lots of charming women around him. its now my laptop's wallpaper :)

bought another 2 books from HMV today - New Moon and Memoirs of A Geisha, which im going to re-read! it seems only yesterday that i borrowed it from Shuwan. i miss hall life! :( my neighbours sw & sj, and being able to stay late, hangout and all that... those were the days. indeed.

first day of work went quite smoothly & fast.
had a proper induction program to follow before i catch up the workload from my colleagues.
loads of processes & systems to remember.
and there were a few promising signs about this place, lets hope things keep that way.
people are friendly though its difficult to remember all the names and who-whos now that im working in a larger co.

good thing was i did not turn up and find myself suddenly have to setup my own computer (or alas! dont even have one!)
another good thing was that all meetings must be pre-arranged via outlook express. even a 10 minute, grab-you and talk meeting. oh, how i love that very command coming out from my boss. it feels like those days at design bridge. i was so, so, glad.
structure may be bothersome for some, but its like breathing fresh air to me.
no more last minute meetings that cause me to be uncertain about my schedule daily, or what time i can leave because i have to wait for my managers to come back from meetings and blah blah... no more michael suddenly grabbing us and say 'oei meeting meeting, 快点' and then it becomes an hour long of inefficiency.

and today at the company's restructuring meeting, i notice that if when the logo is placed on a black background, you can actually forgo the E and see an ! exclamation mark besides the logo boundary.

this is what i mean! do you see the !? after you see the ! its hard to not see it anymore. hahah visual trick:)

versus this

im headed to bed.
there's work afterall tomorrow.

"There is no love without forgiveness, and there is no forgiveness without love."
a perfect quote to end this day.

goodbye or see you,
I'll be your best kept secret or your biggest mistake.

“The first step towards getting somewhere is to decide that you are not going to stay where you are.”

i saw this quote,
isnt it brilliant?
i think it is very apt for hon now.

on hindsight, the past two months seems like they never happened
so brief, so non-lasting on my memory.
even at IMG i had some good colleagues to laugh and bitch together with
there were good memories, and i do miss them every much sometimes.
even though we worked crap hours, nobody was 高高在上.
i cant say the same things about my last job though.
though admittedly i suffered less hours and the pay was higher,
it just really wasnt something i could keep doing and be sane.
photocopying, scanning, printing, handling silly jobs which i really didn't learn from, and then more scanning. and what was it?
oh, attending to the wiring works for new telephone lines.
sometimes i wonder whether i was paid to be a human scanner/photocopier/printer operator.
i felt overpaid for the stuff i was doing but perhaps i was naive enough to believe or think that someone will guide me along and expose me to bigger things.
i did learn that sometimes, you cant judge a book by its cover.
and of course, i realize that actually i have many sides of me.
at work, i am cool and calm and no matter what, i wont shout or scream (except inside me)
and my belief that we should never pamper our clients is further reinforced.
imagine if i continue to stay on,
when will i see the light at the end of the tunnel, i wonder.
perhaps 3 months more down,
i would still be doing the very same things that i didnt think i signed up for.
i got to say, there were some people who were very nice to me, standing in the same boat as me, and i will remember how they helped me.
perhaps pay them a visit sometime.
but ever felt repulsed yet weirdly drawn to something?
i guess that somewhat describes my feelings.

oh well, tomorrow is a new start
i cant say for sure i will love everything about it
but i will make the best out of it
and having joined in for eftc's chinese new year dinner,
i look forward to being part of the xmas party at the end of this year too.
and certainly, i feel as if my 2010 is just going to start.
i came a long way, 3 jobs in one year since i graduated.
it was like a rainbow of chaos.
but i believe
"A hard beginning maketh a good ending."

btw, the movie/musical "nine" is really good. i love the songs in it, maybe i will buy the soundtrack/dvd when it comes out. i think i would place it as one of my favourite movies! very enjoyable.

fergie's voice was so powerful singing 'Be Italian'.
watch it here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H5bbuXndMW4&feature=fvw

Be Italian
Be Italian
take a chance and try to steal a fiery kiss
be Italian
be Italian
when you hold me don’t just hold me but hold this
please be gentle, sentimental
go ahead and try to give my cheek a pat
but be daring and uncaring
when you pinch me try to pinch me where there’s fat
HA!
be a singer be a lover
pick the flower now before the chance is past
be Italian
be Italian
live today as if it may become your last!

'My Husband Makes Movies' was nice too.
The french actress Marion Cotillard was very elegant.
and she was darn sexy in the last part singing 'Take It All', sliding across the dancefloor.

nicole kidman was very very alluring too. tall, beautiful, love her!
the only actress whom i usually like but dont think she fitted well in this movie
was kate hudson.
its abit like trying to put zoe tay or fiona xie in a period drama. nah.
talking about the movie makes me want to watch it again!

you can catch the trailer at the website at
http://nine-movie.com/#/home-page

goodbye or see you,

My favourites

I think I will be blogging more on the go
Since my morning journeys to work will be slightly longer from next week onwards

I'm happy there is a pasta mania at bugis junction
So tht when my pasta craving starts up
I can always satisfy it during lunch there

I really love to eat pasta,
Esp so during the past one - two years
Aglio olio & arriabiata
Both with lots of spice
And I converted from spagetti to linguine
Yum
I think even hon is unable to keep up with my pasta craves
He will go 'pasta mania again?'
While I smile weakly back haha

Infact I love to eat noodles
Ramen, udon, soba, meehoon, mee ta mak
Yum
I think my love for sushi & pizza (my fav food in primary sch)
Has been overtaken by pasta & japanese food in general
Got to say again the sashmi salad from sushi tei is just super worth it
And the best standard comes from raffles shopping centre branch
While the worst (or the only bad) tht I have experienced is at vivo
Probably cause its always so crowded there

Randomly I like to drink tea, soya bean and milk tea!
Speakin of this makes me crave for cup walker peppermint milk tea with pudding & pearls
But now I found another 'Drink tea' shop at bedok
Its not bad, esp the roselle pearls its famous for
But its very expensive.
Coffee used to be my love, but because it stains teeth overtime,
I've cut down a lot till I dn really crave it
Even when I'm super sleepy
Haha I'm vain

Nude, black & white
I can't seem to get enough of these colors
And the occasional red on my nails is a lovely addition
I just have too much clothes & bad buys recently
So I hope to stop buying clothes
Spend more on travel instead

Going hongkong on the 6th nx month!
Our hotel damn far, its at tsuen wan, near airport
But its free, and got a great view so I shan't complain :p
I can't wait for this er ren shi jie haha

Redang with csbs in May
Not sure if I will snorkel but looking forward to the nice beach
And lots of late night talk cock & suaning sessions

Shall blog abt other favourites when I get the inspiration

goodbye or see you,
I'll be your best kept secret or your biggest mistake.

the missing pieces

somehow i feel like something is missing from my life
i feel lonely, after everyone has gone to sleep
after im all alone.
or maybe its just the pms talking.
perhaps i have too much going on my mind.
worries & fears,
be gone!

today i went to erabelle for my eyebrow touch up.
it was a lil hard to get use to that pricky feeling but thank goodness it was over quickly
i had a change of artist this time and she did not 'draw' my brows as dark as the previous girl who did for me. hence i felt comfortable enough (not like LA PI XIAO XIN) to go shopping at zara thereafter and was so tempted to get that blue peep toes heels ($89.90 only is a steal for zara heels!) if not for the fact that i just parted with $600 for additional 3 more touch ups. :(
sigh. so broke now. $200 per touchup is like $100 for one eyebrow. i think this ouch is louder than the physical ouch during the process. hahah.
it is the price of vanity & confidence. it's tough being a woman.
but at the same time, i feel like this whole eyebrow thingy is one of the best things that happened to me because i finally have eyebrows in photos!!!
just a little concerned that it will fade quicker this time since she did not make it very dark.
and 1 side is a lil sleeker than the other :( but sister & bf says not obvious.
maybe its just me! hahah...

now i have a string of things i want... i really need to prioritise. haha. i am even thinking of giving up the LV bag purchase from HK. imagine with the money for that bag i can buy the (aldo heels + zara heels) x 2!
you do the maths.
im also putting on hold the purchase of makeup so that i can go to dfs to buy them for cheaper.

speaking of HK, that reminds me to blog about my trip to malaysia over Chinese New Year.
Indeed, time passes like damn fast.
its already friday tomorrow. This year, CNY was no different from the rest except for the fact that it was my 1st time helping out at my parents' stall till wee hours,
together with dear howie. :)
Reunion dinner was excellent too, and isaac was such a joy on cny eve.
then first day of cny, my sis, mum and i, together with my aunt's family drove to malaysia
not much jam.
went to catch Valentine's Day (sucks for being so boring & doesnt teach you anything except maybe to marry/date your best friend of the opposite sex) as well as Little Big Soldier (was okay, quite funny at times. didnt know that Wang Lee Hom can act as well)
then dinner was at this restaurant. chilli crabs + nice veggie.
although everyone else seemed to complain the standard dropped.

2nd day, we had niang tou foo from the street stalls. very nice. love the malaysian mee hoon, cause its softer.
then drove 3 hrs to malacca, had a yummy home cooked lunch at my uncle's friend's house. checked in hotel & then rest.
drove to my 二姨's house. the road there is very narrow. only meant for 1 car at a time. on each side of this road is paddy field.
there was this time, our 2 cars drove in, met another 2 cars which were on the way out. gosh
we had to reverse into other people's house driveway to let them pass since they didnt want to let us pass. imagine if this had happened at night or happened when the 2 cars going in different directions meet in the middle of the entire long road, i think it will be damn leceh plus dangerous to reverse! haha... my sis's driving skills improved plus she now misses driving at 160km/hr.
im glad that i did not have to drive. else we might take 12 hours to reach malacca.
dinner at 二姨's house - the chilli fish can only be described in one word - HOT!
followed by malay tutu kuey. damn big & nice. each piece is the size of my palm.

3rd day, we drove back to Kulai after dim sum at malacca (standard dropped as they expanded)
and before leaving, we also pluck veggies and fruits from my 二姨's field! the vegetables leaves are huge!
at Kulai, we had home grown kampung chicken & steamboat again.
basically the whole trip was alot of eating & driving. amidst all the closeness there were of course some conflicts here & there but it was a good trip with my aunt's family.
sometimes i wonder how many more times can/will we travel together to malaysia
with my mum, aunt & relatives growing older, myself & my cousins growing up & apart,
every year could be the last time we will actually still bother to visit them in malaysia.
its just like how my brother after marriage, has his own family and doesnt join us anymore.
infact i can hardly remember the last time my brother went to malaysia with us.
i suppose it could be in 2002 or something when my grandma passed on.

it has been a great trip nonetheless. too bad it all flew by and now we are back to singapore.
starting work next week.
a pack of nerves.

goodbye or see you,
I'll be your best kept secret or your biggest mistake.

hairy business

i did a search on hairstyles cause i am really bored with my limp and flat hair
might cut my fringe into bangs. and dye it really dark. then layer it
i want to look somewhat like....

gorgeous dark hair. her hair is abit too wispy though.

or like

really like this though but i dont know if i can carry off that length.

rachel mcadams looks nice with this hair cut.

and the cool ash color on this lady is also nice. the bangs make her doll-like.

howie & i were discussing earlier after our very yummy sushi tei dinner (seriously the sashimi salad is damn worth it. they gave like at least 15 pieces of salmon!), and we both thought of the long in front, short at the back hair style. which is apparently called the A-lined bob, or swing bob. think victoria beckham and her bob. or katie holmes. however most of the these hairstyles only look nice when the length infront and the length behind dont vary that much. so it creates a slant from the front to the back.

the one we had in mind was really long at the front to shoulder-length at the back.
but after seeing the following photos, i think the side view looks really strange. like an unfinished haircut. hahaha... and i dont think it will go well with bangs.

i still cant decide. this kind of thing must be impulsive, go to salon and just heck. maybe i will get that impulse after my eyebrow embroidery touchup tomorrow (more g-tech pen scratching my eyebrow ouch).

some nice stuff that i was browsing thru:

a pity the pants are abit bell bottom. and VS stuff are way too overpriced. i rather buy asos with that amt.

lime green tank. i like the model.

upcoming next is a really strange swimsuit called the topless bikini
when i first saw the item's name i was like, wow, bikini already cover so little, what will a topless bikini look like hahaha..... they cant possibly sell air right?

and then this came up

very borat!! ahahha and she's damn skinny hence dont look so good in modeling swimsuit.

but apparently you can wear with a tube... still a very weird design

love this work outfit. been into work dresses lately.

alexander mcqueen heels. so delicious.
im seriously contemplating to purchase that crazy aldo nude heels because good looking nude heels are such a rare find. its in patent too so it really just reminds me of the unaffordable christian louboutins! sigh. so many things to purchase.

and today, i received a phone call from BBDO's snr account director for an interview
this came 2 weeks after i sent in my resume and it was just a generic 'Im sending my resume for your consideration, should there be any openings available', not responding to any ad and without the prior knowledge that they are hiring or not.
gosh. i told him i have got an opportunity already. gosh the moment i said that i felt a tinge of regret. sigh. i still wonder if that was the right thing to say. maybe i shd have just gone for the interview (supposed to be tmr) just to see how they are like. another experience.
but i guess the fact that i already signed the appt letter at eftc made me guilty to even consider another possible (and very remote) chance of getting into another (bigger/better maybe) agency. BBDO has an excellent portfolio and they do singtel & watsons hahahha.
sigh, i keep consoling myself that everything happens for a reason and eftc happened at the right time.
its not like i can control the fact that BBDO only responded now!! :(
well, i can also use the fact that i even got shortlisted for the interview & am considered worthy of their time to speak to me, as another consolation.

do not like this feeling of uncertainty & worry. and its like, i feel so green still.
will i fit well into the new environment? certainly im glad and happy to go back to the agency life.
i really hope to gain more experience and become someone knowledgeable & qualified to be in this industry. got to work hard this year. i really cant just say i quit anymore.
and i do not want to.
so i pray, let eftc be the place to grow, for me.

for you, i pray, there will be a light guiding you to your path.
no matter what, i will support your decision ;)

goodbye or see you,
I'll be your best kept secret or your biggest mistake.

i never know, when it may all disappear

this instability wears me out sometimes
am i a difficult person to love, i do wonder
like a small boat in the midst of a large ocean,
we seem to be swaying and rocking
but never docking

if only i could don a pair of angel feet
be able to reach out to others as easily as i find myself opening up to others,
most of the time.

perhaps sharing is not your forte
but please do try
just so for me to understand you more,
the way you know me better than i know you

i sometimes feel like i am holding onto a stranger's hand
unable to guess or tell what's on his mind
and i choose to be deluded by the smile on your face
and wait for you to open up
but sometimes in despair
when you seem so unsure
i find myself closing up too

dont keep me guessing
because i am actually here all the time
if only you would realize that

goodbye or see you,
I'll be your best kept secret or your biggest mistake.

a little swoshed

just came back from EFTC's chinese new year dinner
had 2 glasses of white wine and 1 glass of red wine and 1 sprite
perhaps i started on empty stomach so im feeling a little spaced out but its all fine
the people are really having crazy fun
dancing like mad, drinking nonstop, talking/singing in squeaky voices after sucking in the helium from balloons
its great to see all of them let loose before i officially start.
there are too many faces & names to remember though.
my boss lynda is really nice too. she kept asking if i was ok, whether i was bored.
the regional talent director jolyne was very friendly and i just felt like i was part of a huge ass advertising family.
it all seemed too surreal, that i am going to be part of this place, part of this industry.
i feel sometimes out of place, like as if i was a village girl stepping foot into new york for the first time. maybe just like how a brooklyn girl would feel on the upper east side (as if in Gossip Girl)
so surreal, im glad i have till 22nd to catch up with reality.

today's happenings at work and my observations of people around me just reinforced the notion that it was not the right place for me to grow professionally.
im glad to be able to move on. and i really hope that EFTC will be a place for me to stay long at.
its going to be chinese new year once again.
im going to hk in less than 1 month, so excited.
this time round, its only going to be the two of us and maybe because howie has not been to HK, i feel so adult like to plan for this trip and feel responsible that we dont get lost, that we know where and what to go & do, and have a fun trip.
i feel im roaming on a foreign land by myself! haha :)

time for bed. early night today, as i have a long day tomorrow.
my last day at turbo as well.
still pondering if i should cut my fringe.

goodbye or see you,
I'll be your best kept secret or your biggest mistake.

The Climb - Miley Cyrus

dedicate this meaningful song to myself and howie.

I can almost see it
That dream I am dreaming
But there's a voice inside my head saying
"You'll never reach it"

Every step I'm taking
Every move I make feels
Lost with no direction
My faith is shaking

But I gotta keep trying
Gotta keep my head held high

There's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be a uphill battle
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose

Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb

The struggles I'm facing
The chances I'm taking
Sometimes might knock me down
But no, I'm not breaking

I may not know it
But these are the moments that
I'm gonna remember most, yeah
Just gotta keep going

And I, I got to be strong
Just keep pushing on

'Cause there's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be a uphill battle
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose

Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb, yeah!

There's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be an uphill battle
Somebody's gonna have to lose

Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb, yeah!

Keep on moving, keep climbing
Keep the faith, baby
It's all about, it's all about the climb
Keep the faith, keep your faith, whoa

goodbye or see you,
I'll be your best kept secret or your biggest mistake.

chasing a wild goose

it's been surreal
everything's finalised.
i only pray that i will be happy and it will be the best decision made.
people seemed friendly, even my direct boss who appeared so cool and fierce initially,
she turned out to be really nice. and being tall, beautiful and talented, she's my role model now.
job scope wise, i guess i have got lots to pickup
being a very systematic, and process-driven agency, i suppose i'm going to experience the other extreme side of things from IMG and Turbo. something that i welcome, but hope that it wont overwhelm.

having said that, i just love the view from my to-be desk on the 32nd storey, overlooking suntec city, flyer and the busy ecp.
im just so in awe, my dream of a city view office environment came true (and im not even a manager or director yet haha)
it's going to be inspiring. maybe sunset will even be more beautiful.
i cant wait, being the newcomer is a little stressful, considering how good my predecessor seemed to be (she's leaving for euro rscg).
but i'll try my best.

some photos from a month back.

howie can pull off this slacker, nonchalent & casual look. while i failed miserably.

looking at this photo i really like the subtle red hair color. really sad that the color doesnt last more than 1-2 weeks!! :( and after it washes out it becomes this ugly shade of brown. eeks.

and i begin to fall in love with kate spade all over again. ever since their basket weave bags, i think kate spade has got me lured to their other bags esp the black&white ones.

damn pretty all these.

the bow's too cute.
love this set!

this work bag is too sleek. nice!!

this bon shopper bag also caught my attention at raffles city last weekend. too bad the store was closed and we could only admire from the outside.

the front reads "she usually loved the sun to reign," while the other side reads "but today she enjoyed the surprise of rain".. it really suits me, cuz i dont like rainy days but sometimes its nice to have it rain when the heat gets too unbearable.

and i was wondering whether i can get a kindle to read my books instead. looks so cool! then at least dont have to lug books around in my bag. it costs about usd200++ on amazon.com

and i really got to say
i was charmed by your smile today
when you were on the phone with martin
(not meant to sound like a gay/jealous statement haha)
its nice to be reminded of the feeling
when we first got to know each other. :)
i really hope to see you smile more often
no matter what your troubles
know that im here for you
a listening ear if you need me to
just get me to shut up if i talk too much.
ive an overactive mouth sometimes
and ive an overactive mind now.

see the resemblance? maybe it was a self-portrait haha

our HK trip is finally finalised too. 6th-8th march :)
leaving ard 11am on 6th and coming back at 2pm on 8th.
which makes it only 1.5 days there but still im all geared up and hyped!!
time to do some research on the places to go & to shop at!!

shall head to bed now. hopefully i can wake up to go to the post office tmr morning before work.

goodbye or see you,
I'll be your best kept secret or your biggest mistake.

E for Euphoria

i dared to dream
and when it comes, it all comes.
its really true.
i tendered this afternoon at turbo and my boss was kind enough to grant me early release, besides being really much professional and non-questioning about my leaving.
perhaps we both know that i will be better off pursuing something else.
or that being a case of a leo understanding another.

but in any case, i do feel like my time has finally come.
whether it be luck, or i managed to bull-shit well at this interview,
i got in.
i beat other candidates to get in.
this is just such a great feeling.
maybe i just have luck with 3 interviewers, cause the last time i had 3 interviewers at design bridge for the intern role, i got in too.
it was just really omg when i received that call a few hours after i was interviewed
and a few minutes after i sent a thank you note.

today, i was even more surprised to see an email from DB this morning.
leni has something in mind for me, but its not client servicing.
i will just have lunch with her as i am quite curious what position she has.
although DB used to be my dream place, but i guess advertising is where i want to be now. and after that meeting with sf, im not sure if its the right place for me now.

im looking forward to a good break over the cny period.
its been a difficult period, looking and not knowing when and what.
im really hoping that i will settle down in my new place 'E'.
stay there 1-2 years.
i'll be working on dell account.
isnt that cool, cause i use dell laptop now, and its lime green too heh.
it feels good to be able to blog about all these.
couldnt have imagined the suspense inside me.

after interviews with 4 major agencies, tbwa, grey, leoburnett (which i still hope to be at someday) and tribal ddb.... i got to say, i am damn lucky to get this chance at 'E' even though it may not be one of the biggest agencies around, but still its under WPP group. i cant wait for this new life, new era. and im so done with local companies + offices @ jtc combinations.

on another note i found my mp3 player while spring cleaning last week. while its not fantastic, it will do in helping me on the longer journeys to work soon. just need to update it with newer songs. listening to jolin's 看我72 变 isnt my idea of music nowadays. haha.

been contemplating to cut my fringe into bangs again.
actually im very sad to cut it short after the numerous months growing it into chin length.
plus i think bangs make me look even younger.
however i got to touchup my eyebrows really soon (cldnt get a slot before CNY :( ) so i just cant imagine going to work with that too dark eyebrows! hence howie suggested bangs. quite a good idea. but as i go thru my old photos i really have no idea why my hair was ever so bright + blond! eeks! if i cut bangs i wld need to dye it really dark too.

these are some of the darker hair shades. the light blonde ones are too eeks to show.

probably i could start wearing this DEADLINE IS OVER to work now that im back to work at a real ad agency. haha. :)

bangs.... or not.

shopping talk....

bought an asos inspired chiffon dress... in pink.
hopefully it will look alright on me...

my bc dress, which is waiting to be collected at the PO!
i love such dresses for work!

the new bc collection has got me lusting. :(

thankfully this was sold out. its a really pretty piece. but at the same time, not something i cant do without.

but i got this. its very me. plus its a little similar to the mischa barton dress i love so much (below). perfect for work too!! yayness

my makeup loots are running low in supply... quite a few things to buy
1. loreal makeup remover
2. pencil liner from clinique
3. blusher from clinique
4. foundation from clinique (maybe)
5. loose powder from somewhere

lastly, i really got to upgrade my singtel plan!
my hp bill was $131 this month goodness
twice the handphone allowance from company :(
my outgoing minutes exceeded by 5 times can.
must be all the complaining i was doing to baby over the phone.
hah. could be a different story next month.

:)))
a good rest ahead.

goodbye or see you,
I'll be your best kept secret or your biggest mistake.

12:32 AM

at the edge of the cliff

im getting more pissed with my htc phone.
its so laggy and the sms hangs all the time. argh.
keeps getting the 'Sorry. application is not responding' thing.
then it blacks out for like 10secs...
at this very moment i cant even reply my bf! :(
i want to get a blackberry!!
no more touch screen phones, so iphone is out for me.

i cant decide whether to be happy or not now.
im too nervous. i worry whether things will really all fall into place.
it seems like a dream.
and i cant wait for everything to be confirmed in black&white.
next week seems to be the week
either i get crushed
or i get lifted
lets hope its the latter.

lime green. letter E. will that be my new life?

this coach tote in green will go so well with it, if it happens

a couple other nice stuff.

im really tired this weekend.
spent yesterday and a couple of hours just now cleaning up my room
(thanks to darling also, who helped to clean)
i am amazed at the clutter and junk i have
and i stunned myself with the things i hoard/keep/collect
it feels so good to tell myself
just dump those
my room is unbelievably packed with clothes, bags and shoes.
gosh, i think that enough is able to stop me from shopping for now
now, my top priority is to get a decent cabinet to put all my shoes
so i can stop storing them in shoeboxes and they never get to see daylight.

overall, last friday, 5th of feb
was like a turning point.
a chance for change.
and... our love wasnt lost.
it was just buried under lots of layers of miscommunications & unspoken words.
we will only work harder together for this relationship from now.
shall we?

goodbye or see you,

the sudden change

i thought i should just mention,
the irony
my last post was about love and its wonderfulness.
today i am mourning the loss of love.
it could be goodbye this time round.
love always leaves more suddenly and abruptly then how it came by.

goodbye or see you,
I'll be your best kept secret or your biggest mistake.

12:35 AM

love.

It's a quick but long post ahead, but very worth reading.
especially the last paragraph and last sentence.

extracted from some other blog:

爱一个人,要了解,也要开解;
要道歉,也要道谢;
要认错,也要改错;
要体贴,也要体谅;
是接受,而不是忍受;
是宽容,而不是纵容;
是支持,而不是支配;
是慰问,而不是质问;
是倾诉,而不是控诉;
是难忘,而不是遗忘;
是彼此交流,而不是凡事交代;
是为对方默默祈求,
而不是向对方诸多要求;
可以浪漫,但不要浪费;
可以随时牵手,但不要随便分手。

i think it is a gentle reminder that love isnt perfect.

love is in fact about accepting each other, being patient, understanding, non-questioning, trusting and loving.

love is not about having problems today and giving up the next.

love is about holding on and believing. love is not just about spending time together, but its about the efforts to do different things, explore new things/places together, have meaningful conversations, spending quality time together, and everything else to keep that torch of love. i guess love is abit like a person's appearance, there needs to be some grooming done. there needs to be effort and time put in.

and hence, i would like to say: thanks baby for allowing me to indulge in pastamania AGAIN, tonight. its you being 体贴 although i know you must be sick & tired of my pasta NEEDS :S

seriously i eat pasta like its rice. or like breathing air.

and i finally found a local site that sells this envelope charm necklace!!

http://www.skyrocketsuperlove.com/

but it is a tad too expensive even though its a sale item.

$41.30 excl postage

this is $30.80 excl postage. also comes in Cest La Vie.
The Je taime carving looks nicer but i've wanted the I love you charm for damn long. plus the necklace has pearls. nice!

it just so happened that these 2 items fit into my topic today : )

In a jubilant mood today. lets hope it will continue.
it just makes everything that was unbearable, seem more acceptable.

goodbye or see you,
I'll be your best kept secret or your biggest mistake.
