lusting for life ah... i cant help but collect images of beautiful things. they make life seem more exciting, more amazing, more motivating, more beautiful. even if these are but materialistic things that we can't take with us when we part this world, but because happiness is sometimes intangible, and bad days at work make us cranky, we take to pretty things that we can see, and desire to own.   the gold one looks amazing.  coco chanel! im officially taken over by a makeup craze. especially obsessed with makeup that has pretty and elegant packaging... i wished i live in a country where they ship direct from chanel.com they give lots of samples during your purchase! Moschino scarf watch i fell in love with this idea once i saw the ad. the watch face itself is simple, but only because the scarf is already so pretty that any other watch face will be too over-the-top. it's difficult to decide whether i like the black or red more. black with gold, red with silver...    If the idea of a scarf watch seems too dressy, Moschino has brilliantly included a simple leather strap to replace the scarf for everyday, casual wear. brilliant and considerate! thumbs up. and my excitment is growing... for my next trip - coming up in jan 2011! B.A.L.I with baby... looking at all these resort photos, i am convinced that one day i shall go there and just do nothing at all.. the Ayana resort itself is so beautiful. can just sleep, swim, spa.. (all indulgences start with 's') hehe...  i love 4 poster beds!      Imagine sitting facing the sea and just holding your hand... ;) now all we need to do is to start researching where to go and where to stay! count down = 2 months and we must definitely make reservation to go to the Rock Bar at ayana resort... this is one amazing location for a bar... the bar is about 10 stories above the crashing waves of the indian ocean. beautiful, beautiful... sipping a pina colada or a lychee martini here... in the evening... im dreaming already!   ---Somewhere between our laughs, our long talks, our silly little fights, and all our jokes, I fell in love. 爱情的美妙 终于看完了“就想赖着你”。。 有一点伤心，舍不得。。 因为，我还蛮喜欢这部偶像剧的。。 ella 和言承旭这个搭配，还真有默契。。 我想，这部戏的 draw 就是让简单的女生，幻想自己有一天，也可能会找到一个 “懂得珍惜我，在乎我的人，不管我有没有钱，不管我漂不漂亮，他都会永远爱我” 的男人。。。 especially one as handsome as 言承旭。。。哈哈哈。。 and ella's portray of 杨果，is really very adorable too. all in all, the show is funny and heartwarming. <3 he proposed to her less than 1 month after they got together.... but its damn fantasy lah, cuz throughout the whole show, he's like damn rich, damn eng, and damn 体贴。。even though he is supposed to be a very busy lawyer.. the last part, they even had kids!! this drama shall join the ranks of my all-time favourite dramas which include 王子变青蛙。。 that was funny, eventful, and so full of 經典台詞 just like what caddie wrote on her blog... my favourite line was "单均昊不是神，他也是人，是一个平凡的人， 他的心也希望能够感受真爱，留住真爱， 他也会战战兢兢的站在一个喜欢的女孩子面前， 希望她能够爱他。 茼篙就在单均昊的心裏，你怎麼能把茼篙叫醒，又不理他呢。" it was said with alot of expression and emotions by ming dao! i am so going to watch this drama again!! 我想，恋爱因该是世界上最好的感觉吧。。。 恋爱是一种，甜在嘴里，暖在心里的感觉。。。 而我，也很幸运的，能找到我自己的哪个“懂得珍惜我，在乎我的人”。。。 这种感觉，我希望，永远都能保留。。。 ---Somewhere between our laughs, our long talks, our silly little fights, and all our jokes, I fell in love. random I'm officially obsessed with lipstick + lip gloss Flipping through magazines Every shade appealed to me Hot pink, baby pink, nude, fuschia, red... Etc Probably only pantone colors can aptly describe the various shades haha.. MAC, shishedo, chanel, Revlon... Darling can I use your capitaland vouchers - put them to good use??? :p Sigh... Miss him lots. No sunday talk today cuz he's in KL for colleague's wedding Saturdays are always so perfect and lazy Hehe... Looking forward to the next week =) i feel like we've been tog for longer than just over 3 months.. (well, that is technically true, cuz i can't think of any other guy friend whom i can say knows more about me in the last 5 years than him, or any guy who can say they know me better than roland does - this fact is irreplaceable, it's like first mover advantage haha..) in a way, friendship is the solid foundation on which this relationship is based on... we "saved" lots of time because trust, respect and understanding was already formed as friends... and suddenly, i quite miss the bintan trip... hanging out with csbs on the beach and just tuang-ing.. csbs is a very valued group of friends to me, and no doubt it is also because of the existence of this group in my uni days, that helped me gained this wonderful relationship today :) i hope next yr perhaps we can go for such a trip together again dont mind going back bintan, or batam, or bangkok.. the next time, hopefully shu wan and shu hui will be able to join us too! looking at the photos from the trip that's 5 months ago.. i realised that the phuket photos are not uploaded yet! shujing and roland.. the two lazy people... hence my phuket post never came... hahah, because no photos! all my favourite things Havent had the time to update... Just came back 2 days ago from a short business trip to Penang. it was pretty city-like and unlike what I imagined... dark wobbly roads and unsafe, like JB our clients took us out for hawker food and Teochew lunch... the food was delicious! It was also my first time staying in a hotel on my own... I supposed that my company's welfare is not too bad.. as everyone had their own room.. initially the idea was abit scary since afterall sleeping alone in a hotel room is not the most comfortable thing but the privacy was shiok!! there was no need to share room with my boss and wait for each other to bath... and i could just laze on the bed and watch whatever channels i wanted.. Overall the trip was alright, just that it was unnerving and stressful because there were so many things to prepare... Life has been good these days... Although my mood fluctuates up and down, but there's someone who is always tolerating my nonsense and comforting me when i am feeling moody :) it is really amazing how comfortable we are with each other... despite being friends for so long, and never thinking we could be more... Last saturday, i finally made the reservation for the little spanish restaurant and off we went, to Bukit Timah Road... took some wrong turns on the road, and we seemed to be on the CTE for the longest time until we finally reached there.. can't help it, we are both east-ies! haha.. and then there was the parking issue... couldnt find where to park amidst all the rich housing! and then after parking, finally found the restaurant underneath the shophouse.. it was quite worth to keep this little secret because it turned out to be a cosy corner... and we tried their paella (this pan of seafood and rice - like a spanish version of our claypot rice), and some tapas... their lychee rose tea was thumbs up! will find the time to upload the photos of our little 3 months celebration + be-be-belated birthday treat for roland. we also almost "died" when mr high-astigmatism changed lane at a bend, and the car was like moving straight ahead into the bend... and then i shouted "darling!" and he shifted the steering wheel... haha... so i decided that i should help drive the long distances at night before he gets his new specs... :P Tonight Im meeting wenxin for her birthday celebration. how fast time flies.... it seemed just not too long ago that i brought her to bishan park last yr... and presented to her the casio watch... i hope she will like this year's present too... We're going to Procacci, this italian restaurant newly opened at Customs House. Am into looking out for and compiling a list of good-to-go restaurants for birthdays and anniversaries, so if you know any, please share! Now moving on to ramble about my favourite things Chanel logo earrings! isnt this lovely?!! i was trying to decide whether i would save up $600 for this earrings or a pair of Christian Louboutins (from net-a-porter)  6t92wdMBMkO254omg~~_1.jpg) initially my answer was the shoes of course... but i will probably wear the earrings more often? though i will be devastated if i lose one side of it.. which does happen to my earrings from time to time :( but any scratch marks on $600 heels will be an ouch too! however i am not so sure whether the chanel earrings have already been phased out in the boutiques.. Im also madly in love with Chanel make-up! i guess if i cant have chanel bag, or chanel earrings... the next best affordable replacement is their make-up! =) bought a couple of Chanel stuff while i was at the airport..  Vanessa Paradis, the beautiful french actress (aka Johnny Depp's long-time gf), is fronting the current Chanel Rouge Coco campaign... in my opinion, she's the perfect choice, because she embodies the Parisan chic look/style that i admire.. she's kind of like the modern audrey hepburn, very classy and elegant. i got the Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss in shade 57 Insolence (which means bold and impudent)... the famous hot pink shade that's appearing on the back covers of magazines like CLEO..   It is the shade on the right.. fell in love instantly with the glossy pink shade. it is actually very wearable, and not that exaggerated. the red looks really sexy too!! lip colors can change the overall look instantly. im looking to get the shade Insouciance (which means indifference).. even the names of the products are so irresistable. and of course the sleek black and gold packaging is very attractive to me as well. i also got the waterproof twist-up eyeliner (it's good and longlasting!)and Chanel N°5 hair mist.. i am not a fan of all the chanel fragrances, some are quite overpowering but i want to get them because i want to collect the classic bottles and packaging! hehe... i am now collecting small perfume bottles... those 5 or 10ml ones.. really cute to display, and to bring along for short trips or touch up too.. next perfume will probably be from the Chanel Coco Mademoiselle range.. that campaign was fronted by Keira Knightly.. in the ad she was totally nude with only a strategically placed bowler hat on her digitally enhanced chest. although she is lovely, but i dont get the nudity (why!) nudity and chanel, does not go together, imo... if there is really a need, perhaps someone more curvy like Marion Cotillard will be a better choice.  i love almost everything on this model.. the dark nails.. the perfectly arched brows, the gorgeous dark hair, and that very perfect pink shade on her lips!  Yum... Chanel's new nail color range is also very irresistable, but i am not that crazy to spend $23 on one bottle of nail polish that i have to apply myself.. (there should be some nail salons that carry Chanel or other brands of nail polishes rather than just OPI) this jade shade is very gorgeous too.  This green is from OPI... more minty than jade..  However, my October color is likely to be a fresh light shade... Browsed through the internet and these 2 shades attracted me.. hilarious and memorable weekend! Last saturday, we went to meet the bachelors club for dinner at 85 market along the way we met this super funny and weird and dangerous taxi driver who was supposedly 75 yrs old first thing he said to us was "wah 你们这两公婆，女的漂亮，男的也漂亮。。" （LOL） then aft that he said he wanted to intro roland to his 18 yr old daughter "她的胸部大大粒的，没有打针的。。 真的很大！" i was laughing out loud all the way. then after that he was telling us look at how fit he is, driving at 130km/hr, "look, now is 140km/hr liao" this was on the TPE... and he was driving 80km/hr on normal roads accelerating at bends tailgating the other cars and this part when he told us his wife had died, he slapped his forehead and closed his eyes in a state of emo while the car was still moving... omg we were like so amused yet hanging on tight for our lives!! he can drive yet turn ard to talk to us, treat us to eat coconut sweets that can only be found in "海南岛" sometimes not even sure whether his eyes are on the road... Ruifang said, the dinner at 85 market is to celebrate our "safety" hahaha then he also asked us for "zhen zi" and roland gave him this number 8486 which stands for his birth yr and mine we were so shocked when we saw 8486 真的开！ ---Somewhere between our laughs, our long talks, our silly little fights, and all our jokes, I fell in love. 15 minutes On monday, roland & i went to have lunch with wenxin at this cafe called "15 minutes" its housed inside lasalle... we went during lunch because its canteen-style and everything is supposed to be ready for collection within 15minutes... and because they give you this vibrator...hehehe....   it's called patron pager actually. when your food is ready, this pager will vibrator, shake and light up in red!  like this... but of course it was vibrating.   wenxin showing off her sexy mole.  this was the only photo i remembered to take of the food we ordered. because after that we were too eager to start... this was roland's pasta - something with special pink sauce that tasted somewhat like, sauce with red wine, in my opinion. i forgot what roland said it tasted like... i ordered mushroom arriabiata and it was pretty spicy, with jalapenos in it wenxin had fish & chips, the fries and coleslaw was pretty good. but i din try the fish. prices were below $10.. i want to go try the salads.. they put the veggies in this cookie jar and you can shake it and then pour it out onto a plate. gimmicky but its fun.  group shot...  candid shot taken by wenxin. love it :) there is this look of camaraderie & affection in our eyes... hahaha it was unknowing & unintended.  i love my almond-colored cardigan too! its so versatile and comfy!! definitely a great buy. on impulse, and out of boredom with my hair (i have this bad habit of hankering for long long hair and then when i have it, i will have the itch to snip it), i went to the hairdresser to snip off my hair & dye it violet. all for only $22.60 $2.80 for cut and $19.80 for dye the dye came out uneven lah! but well for such a cheap price i guess i cant really complain.. now i look like i only dyed the top 3 inches of my hair... and the rest is still like black..   view from the back....  love this skirt and belt set that i bought from f21!  and as promised, a shot of my new sports shoes.. so minty right.. matched my pedicure... im quite excited about my next pedicure.. lots of colors i would like to try! all these look good for christmas... sparkly!   the gold will look funny on toes though...  this forest green is beautiful~  and i want to apply this beautiful shade on my toes!! Happy birthday, Valerie! it was a great 24th birthday. i think im really lucky to have someone to celebrate my birthday with every year. this year, i celebrated with csbs, wenxin and of course, somebody special. Wht makes it unique is that this is not the first time he is celebrating my bday, but its the first time tht we get a private celebration planned by him:) Funnily wenxin and roland both happened to bring me to eat at the same place - PS Cafe. When roland heard tht wenxin brought me there, he HUH very loudly and asked me which branch but I didn't think it will be so zhun Then on my actual bday, he told me tt we are gg ps cafe but luckily it was a diff outlet he intended to bring me to... Hehe, anyway the menus turned out to be different as well. The mood and atmosphere were very varied too. Wenxin gave me the most kinky present ever received, thumbs up!! Lol.. I was definitely shocked. Roland gave me something I wanted and needed, but it was the way he presented and the little extra things he did for the present tht made me happy. His efforts in revealing the gift and these little gestures were very thoughtful. And not to mention, it was the tender loving care tht I received on tht day tht really made it very very memorable. Simple but well spent birthday tht I wil remember:) Some pictures of PS Cafe  The starter was simple but very good. Esp the tomatoes, they were in some tangy sweet sauce, yummy   Roland's beef sandwich, huge  My veggie pasta, abit dry  This dessert was goooood!!! I was ooohing and ahhhing all the way. Ginger pudding with earl grey cream sauce served with a scoop of vanilla icecream. The earl grey sauce was very creamy thick but not too jelat, I'm gg back for somemore;)   Our shots. She seems to have aged and is even more skinny now.  Overall, I enjoyed this year's bday a lot, and all the ppl tht usually might forget my bday didn't this year, and thus I m really happy tt I'm being remembered. Some were v prompt and sincere too. But of cuz thr is the -_- person whom I rather not wish me because the wishing always sounds so contrived, like nothing better to say. I'm not so looking forward to nx year or the nx because it will be 25, 26 yrs! Mid 20s boooo!! Further and further from my sweet 16 dream. Apparently lots of ppl know of my this 'wishful' saying lol I'm so slpy now, jus reaching hm from body combat session II with jacq at china sq.. I'm not as chi dun today hehe.. But thk my new sports shoes are a tad too big! Shall post photos of my 1st sports shoes nx time, hahaha I need another sports bra and socks.. Now only gt one each, too pathetic lah..
