Late night update

i was really thrilled to discover that AA has restocked the unisex sweater that i have been wanting since this year january!! (or earlier)

i love how the model pairs it with a skinny braided belt across and wears it as a dress.
just looks so comfy. i can attest to it, cuz i got the same material vest from AA...
since i have 2 forest green items already i am looking to get the mauve one this time...
then i realised my size is OOS! arggh.. another waiting game with AA..
mauve is a nice color and at least it wont be sheer cuz the material is thick.

and i still cant decide whether or not to get my gestuz bodycon dress.
the price has dropped to 23pounds!!! the greedy me is awaiting it to drop further...
but sizes are running out soon!

gah...
gotta sleep now!!
pray for my speedy recovery.......

HK/Shenzhen trip is confirmed!! 1st Nov-4th Nov.
i am thrilled to go Window of the World!! it is a fantastic replica park situated at the Overseas Chinese Town with vivid replicas of the world's wonders, historical heritages and famous scenic sites. Hope can take a photo with the smaller Eiffel tower, Mt Fuji, Leaning Tower... woah. cant wait!

was at JP

Oh the perks of being young
Of being a student
Of not having to work on weekdays
Of being able to enjoy student promotions/offers!!
i really miss being a student! :(

i was enjoying pizza hut's new lunch deals yesterday with h
the waitress asked 'are you students?'
at the same time.....
h: NO....
me: YES! (panicky YES i am!!)
hahah... after that i told baby to always say yes to that question
student meal at pizza hut was $5.90 only!!
one pasta/individual sized pizza + soup + free flow of pepsi (supposedly but they din refill our glasses)
add on $1.95 for any one side dish (such as 3pc spicy drumlets, petite salad which turned out not as petite as i imagined, honey wings, etc)
but the soup they served yesterday was realllllly bizarre! why would pizza hut serve clear chicken + vegg soup???
doesnt go well with the pizza/creamy pasta at all
maybe they ran out of mushroom or chicken soup and decided to run upstairs to borrow some chinese soup from their neighbours (soup restaurant or crystal jade??)
but otherwise it was quite a decent meal
craving for some good o hawaiian pizza too but strangely it was not one of the choices

love to shop during weekdays
love to watch movies on tuesdays
love this lifestyle
watching drama re-runs and curling up in bed engrossed in my books
that was pretty much like how it used to be in hall
slacking, watching gossip girl, dinner, a half attempt to study, alternating between lying on the bed and the desk, and then showering to wake myself... and then deciding its time for another episode of gossip girl
i miss hall and school life!!
i still feel so 19....
next year it will be 'my' year - year of the tiger!
(i almost typed roar here.. but realised only lions roar.. so what sounds do tigers make?)

without a doubt, i am going to apply for all the jobs i can find
maybe take up the property course that my sis and mum are asking me to try
maybe sign up for contract/relief teaching
maybe still try to find a job in advertising/marketing
maybe take a little break and concentrate on PAUSE&PLAY
day by day i cant wait for it to launch...
yay!
credits should go to my hardworking h =)
wenxin wants to play a role too,
how about you be my model! haha...
i need a 'chop' for PAUSE&PLAY
gotta go to settle all these misc stuff next week

last night we went on a double date
watched Phobia 2
out of 5 stories, i only liked 2 of them
the last 2
one was spooky the other funny
the rest of the stories disappointed me, not much of a storyline, just gore/lots of admit-ably good sound effects/blood/scary scenes...
dont quite understand the title of the movie
it should be Karma instead since many of the stories seemed to be relaying the message that Karma does exist!
i think i prefer those horror movies that have more real-life day-to-day settings
cause it is easier to relate to and thus spookier... which was probably why shutter or those movies that play with mirrors are so scary, cuz we deal with them almost daily.. so we tend to get reminded of the movie thereafter...
the last story was quite funny, and i like the twist...
after the movie we had a quick dinner at food republic..
vivo city food republic really sucks! expensive and not that nice.
(ok it used to be expensive but still nice, but i dont think i will go back again. rather pay a little more to get restaurant standard food)
we then set off to our surprise destination that we wanted to bring wenxin & ws to..
hiked for about 15-20 mins and then when we reached there
we were told it was closed for some living in style event
argh was so disappointed and sad we made a wasted trip + i was bitten by many many mosquitoes!
i miss the breeze and the waves crashing upon the shore.
it is such a romantic place... sad!
oh well, we shall go again another time for our Part II!

goodbye or see you,
I'll be your best kept secret or your biggest mistake.

yesterday

my last day at img
we had boon tong kee for my farewell dinner
a long, slow day of doing nothing
and then a mad rush to pack my stuff and ensure everything i need to take home was in my bag somewhere.. (but i still left behind a file. haha)
the time to write my farewell emails came
and i started feeling emo
sad and scared

even though the decision has been a right one
but i couldnt help flashback the memories since day 1
when i was there in the studio not knowing what was going on or who everyone was
and i dread to feel the same awkwardness and cluelessness in my next job, whenever that will come by
i wasnt that close to many of them for the 1st two months
maintaining much to myself
going home as and when i can escape
then came june, july
the crazy busy months
i got to know many of them much better as we slogged and strived hard together
it does feel weird to be here on a thursday morning typing on my laptop instead of being in office, amidst the mad rush and the now quieter creative team
the atmosphere is just so different now
plus we are almost going to be like swamped by foreigners as they start recruiting the indonesians and philippinos and whats not
i am going to miss my AE team
despite everything, they were the ones who brought much laughter and relief during the office hours
i guess i have always been a nostalgic person, not liking departures
give me few more days to adjust to this new-found freedom and slack
i will probably be okay
and can start to figure out my plans for the future
i swing from anticipation to uncertainty and back to excitement and then fear
it certainly isnt easy, growing up
how many people can say for sure, this is what i want to do, i am certain
how many people can honestly say, i love my job, be it the job scope or the env
im glad, just a teeny weeny bit, when i see that i am sometimes not the only one who plucked up the courage to leave and be clueless for a while

/

yesterday

our second time at canopy bar
its at bishan park......
a very nice place to chill, with soothing and relaxing music
the lights and the garden setting is perfect for dates
lots of people yesterday, surprisingly for a wednesday night
had baileys this time round.. decided that cocktails are not for me, they turn out weird...
sadly our little date din start or end well
we had our first fight? quarrel? heated argument?
i know i am not the most patient gf
but i already tried my best
i feel like a fool not knowing what you are thinking or feeling
frustrating, tiring
i raised my voice, im sorry
hope that the next time we go there, maybe for brunch,
it will be a very pleasant time
promise me, just tell me what is on your mind
dont leave me guessing

im afraid,
love isnt easy
differences in thinking, in character, in personality, are bound to happen
can we accept them?
can the good outweigh the bad?
how much can we take the bad before we decide it is enough?
i cant change myself to be someone i am not
but i can try to change in other ways that might help to tame the problem or difference
you gotta tell me and you gotta trust me
walk beside me.
not behind me.

goodbye or see you,
I'll be your best kept secret or your biggest mistake.

Randomly

It suddenly hit me
The difference between 'how are you?' and 'how have you been?'
The former is asking about the present you. And more often than not, the recipient answers 'fine', or 'good'
Even though usually it is not the absolute truth
Its been said too that when people ask u that, they really aint asking out of concern, all they want to hear is a short 'im ok', not you going into your rambles and grumbles

The latter, 'how have you been?' is much less asked maybe because we are afraid to really hear the truth
And often the question just gets stuck inside us, we are too afraid to ask
Do we really wanna know what they have been up to, what they did?
Suggests to me this is a question we would think of asking people, friends, exs, from our past, people whom we may have hanged out but no longer do, people whom we have drifted apart from, people we might turn our heads from or look down on the floor when we see them approaching us on the street, by a sheer stroke of luck or maybe coincidence, I don't know

Its true all of us with only 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week, could hardly catch a breath for ourselves, not to mention having the time and effort for every single of our friends, family etc. Friends come and go that's a sad fact. Not many people remain close to their primary sch friends and increasingly so, we even drift apart from our closest secondary sch friends. But they are somewhere in our hearts, and we remember sheepishly the foolish and childish deeds we did, 10, 15 years ago.
Gosh time really passes quickly isn't it so?
I can hardly believe I have already graduated from uni, with a degree.. something that everyone used to only dream of

I am 23, I am 23, going onto 24
I am anticipating the future but I am afraid to lose youth so quickly
Time pls slow down and let us relish each moment that we are alive
Living, breathing

Maybe its my last day at my 1st official job
Abit emo with many thoughts
Maybe its cuz i m listening to a string of slow sad chinese songs
That often causes me to activate my need to VOMIT - voice out my inane thoughts

goodbye or see you,
I'll be your best kept secret or your biggest mistake.

long vacation!

2 more days and i will be out of img.
i guess i do have mixed feelings.
going to miss some of my wonderful colleagues who have had made this place a lil more bearable as we bitch and gossip on msn though we just sit next to each other...
often i remind myself of the various reasons i am leaving...
almost everyone have plans to leave... just holding back due to their own various reasons.
and i dont want to be the last to go, and suffer in the meantime...
i dont want to work for such a place with no structure, no rules, nothing to learn from the mad rush and last-minute deals.
hopefully i will be able to find a better job.
maybe consider trying other stuff in the meantime.
cant wait for PAUSE&PLAY to be up! yay!
there are so many designs i would really like to manufacture, but i guess those gotta wait..
i am still pondering over some stuff.
am excited yet apprehensive.

today i managed to catch up on sleep
an amazing 13 hours worth of sleep
i also dont know why i was so tired
haha, but after that i met h at tampines and we went for ajisan ramen
have not gone to ajisan for a long long time
the volcano ramen seems to have mellowed in its spiciness
or maybe my taste buds have gone haywired with the amount of spice i take daily!

walked around abit, tried the much-loved dress at my shop valerie and decided white, for once, looked nicer than the black, on me.
but still couldnt persuade myself to part with that obscene amount for a dress, as lovely as it was.. (cant fathom why people can allow themselves to pay $56 for a top at topshop. a lousy top somemore.. maybe $200 satin dresses at warehouse, i can understand. but not for poor quality, or simple designs from topshop)
caught 'the ugly truth', wasnt as funny as i digested from the trailer. probably a movie tht we could have done without but it was a nice snuggling time at the cinema =)
surprisingly there werent many people despite today being a public holiday
my poor baby had to travel 2hrs home again.
you are such a fool =) a silly silly one.

its 1:06am, time for bed again, else i might be a walking zombie tomorrow.

goodbye or see you,
I'll be your best kept secret or your biggest mistake.

happy

today i was on half day leave.
my last leave before i go on infinite leave from img nx week haha...
it does scare and worry me a little about being jobless
but i guess i just gotta remind myself to be courageous and listen to the little voice that says
'i will try again tomorrow'

it was really such a relaxing little date we had today =)
im glad we are trying to sort things out and not let those things affect us.
lunch was a leisure one at Sushi tei... very much enjoyed the sashimi salad.. so fresh!
then we shopped around.. went to muji to try my blue flats again, but its not time to get it yet.
we thought of watching 'The Ugly Truth' but it isnt out until tomorrow (arghh hate it when such things happen!)
so we caught the movie 'Blood Ties'... kind of like a Hongkong + Singapore collaboration...
hmm not really a horror movie... more about revenge and family ties..
the last part i think they copy some starhub ad! haha but i teared cuz it was abit touching...
after that we had a quick dinner at the food court.. alfresco style.. haha.. till they off-ed the lights to chase us out..
somehow today just feels super nice... like our first date. :)
thanks for being you.
i hope you know just how much you mean...
and i am more than blessed to meet you... who always give me more than i need, and take less than you deserve.

anyway that day i won an EBAY bid!! hurray!!

i was soooo happy.. cuz i have nv won any of those that i took part in...
and by the time i saw this dress i like and bidded $11.00 (it was $10.50 at that time), there was like 53secs left to closing! gosh i was so afraid i remembered the wrong login details but thankfully i dint... then someone outbidded me to $11.01 (wtf right) and then i quickly keyed in $11.51 and horrray at that very moment the bid closed and the item was mine! say YAY! =)
i was really thrilled esp cuz its so cheap.. i was afraid the shipping might cost even more than the dress itself like 30USD or sth, but it was just USD10.50 haha... so even aft shipping it cost only over $30.00 for this piece of vintage dress. i just hope it will reach me safely cuz i have nv bought any thing to ship to me internationally before.

i hope the dress will fit man! tho it might be a tad long but i can always alter that.. the chiffon sleeves look lovely =) and whats more its in my fav colors... black&white! cant wait for it to come! i have always wanted to get those unique vintage dresses from ebay but was always outbidded..

and AA's been making me thirsty for their clothes again.
im going to get this sooooon... its a lil ex at usd42 (30plus after their usual 15% off).. but check out that low back! and i love the color and the sleek smooth nylon material.. hope it turns out like the photo.

however i cldnt resist getting the forest green long sleeve u back dress when i saw that its back instock! heh! the forest green color turned out very lovely from the USD5 dollar vest i bought the other time.. so im thrilled. it shd arrive soon.. pray that i will look nice in it! sometimes too much of one color can be overwhelming!

and i had to get my hands on two very delicate pieces of clothings haha... every woman needs some nice lingerie to pamper herself every now and then right? couldnt decide between the lace and the mesh.. so i got the mesh in navy (was hard to move away from the usual black but navy looks really good here - pardon her two headlights.. AA's photos are very open ;)) and the lace in black! im sorry to say this phrase again but i just cant wait! acty love the back of the bras more than the front!

seeing this floppy black hat which is selling at USD40 just makes me super regret not buying the hat at platinium mall back in BK!!! boohoo... even though its super unpractical to wear out, but it will make a very nice photoshoot prop! o wells!

got to go take a nap =) till tomorrow...

goodbye or see you,
I'll be your best kept secret or your biggest mistake.

to Bangkok.. and back... (a much procrastinated post)

i have holiday withdrawl symptoms :(
Bangkok was such a treat...
it was my post-graduation trip, cum relief from the past 5 months of hard work.
i even dreamt that we went to Bangkok again last night and then when i came back to singapore
i won 10,000 baht or something so we decided to fly back there to use my winnings! :D
too bad it is only but a dream.
next up is an unexpected trip with my family to Hongkong! thought of making a little trip to ShenZhen as well.. though i suppose it will be a more restrictive trip since i m not travelling with friends, but it is my 1st trip with my entire family including the 2 new additions (my sister-in-law and isaac) so the idea is pretty exciting! hopefully it doesnt get cancelled at the last minute again, knowing how my fickle-minded my parents could be...

some bangkok photos... will upload the gazillion others on facebook when my facebook finally listens to me.. it hasnt been behaving.

arriving at bangkok airport... we took our own sweet time to go collect our baggage.. guess what.. when we reach the conveyor belt, we saw this!

LOL our LAST BAG was awaiting our collection... paiseh...so we took this shot.. cool huh! lucky they nv announce my name to collect it...

our takeanap hotel is fab! i will love to go back there again. cheap and cosy..
whats best about bangkok is that we are like birds there.. everything chirp (cheap) chirp
what do i love most??
hahaha is their taxi!! so cheap la... esp cuz we went in a group of 4.. so every trip is like one person $1-$4. most expensive one was from the airport to hotel.. 400 baht.. but thats only $16.. less than what my baby will pay to take a cab in singapore from his place to anywhere else :P
somemore the cabs were colorful. hot pink, green, blue... everywhere also got cab.
when i came back singapore and take cab, my heart really felt the pinch! booo....
the funny thing is whenever we go into a cab, first thing is we will ask 'meter?'
cuz the 1st night we got 'kar' by this cab guy who charged us 300 or 400 baht and keep getting lost on the way back to our hotel... maybe he was trying to make us feel our money is worth..
then wensheng will next tell the driver 'rama4 road.. opp snake *hiss + show snake action* farm..' hahah.. its like a classic...

this was taken after we spent 1st day shopping at platinium mall (love the great finds thr!! the bags! - 'miss.... you like... you buy tuuuu... i give you cheeeap...' and cheap singlets and shorts!) and eating our lunch at fuji jap resturant (which kept haunting us everywhere later on)... for dinner, the buffet at baiyoke hotel was yummmmy.... only less than $30 sing per person for a great variety of seafood, jap food and western choices. will def go back there again when i nx go BK! then we went up to its 82nd floor revolving tower.. so windy and nice the scenary... sigh..

2nd day on the cab, again... this time is to MBK (Maboonkong)... lots of fake polo, lacoste, etc. i only bought contact lens there.. also quite cheap! then i think we went to Bonanza plaza =) found the gold casio watch i like and because i was already so broke from my 1st day of shopping (LOL!), baby bought it for me! i love it lots =) its cheaper than in singapore, and the gold version was quite a rare find.

here is a photo of the watch being sold for ard 30 pounds on ASOS! i got it for only $50! what a steal. cant stop wearing it now.

after that, we went to suan lum night bazaar. had a nice thai style zi-char and bought many nice teeshirts and i even saw my crochet bikini there for much cheaper!! ouch! and then we went to chill and have beer! enjoyed the thai cum english live singing as well as the breeze there..

3rd day, i think we were too busy shopping our hearts out at Chatuchuk! haha.. there were plenty of cute lil puppies there, so adorable.. can check the photos on facebook.. or maybe my next post.. put up more photos! chatuchuk is rrrreally big! mega, huge! i think i will definitely go back.. lots of good finds, tho not always that cheap, but special stuff! bought the street side thai green mango, very nice, though their dressing was alil too salty...

at night, cuz we were sooo tired from all the walking, we went for massage. before that we went for a nice dinner at Talips Phing, a restaurant frequented by tourists that we chanced upon... massage was so comfortable i fell aslp twice. din slp that well in BK somehow, alot of back pain when i woke... so the massage helped abit. the funny incident was when i saw that they provided us a set of pyjamas looking attire, i asked the thai woman whether we supposed to change into them, or just wear over our clothes.. cuz she doesnt speak english.. then she gave me this super disguisted and weird look and she took the top and put over my shoulders.. lol.. darling also saw her expression.. it was hilarious.. maybe she tot that 1) i was so stupid i dont know how to wear, or 2) i am asking her to help me wear...

on sunday, we went to Royal city avenue (I thk?) for Go kart.. but baby and i din play.. but we helped wenxin and wensheng took photos. wx was like driving leisurely... funny.. we ate at fuji restaurant again! and then we headed to Siam Square. saw lots of nice wallets along the way but i was too broke to buy.. lol.. dont remember too much abt that place.. i think we were just randomly walking cuz we were so tired from the past few days of shopping. cant remember where we had dinner also...

very soon, it was the last day :(
we packed our stuff and the lift of our hotel broke down! haha, maybe it din want us to leave.
then we went to pratunum plaza (cheap, but nth much there... not very gd quality) and then platinium mall again since we had much time to kill before we leave for the airport... our last meal was a horribly expensive and unappetizing jap meal (their so-called ramen is just our chinese yellow noodles! cost $12 or something... i rather eat ajisan!)... never ever eat at their airport again. gosh. the flight back was quite bad too, the air pressure caused my ears to feel like they were going to burst and overflow with blood. eew. missed being in BK badly the subsequent days and was damn sian to go back to work... (2 weeks since we came back already!! time does really fly! cant wait for us to go to taiwan or japan tog! =))
i miss seeing baby and wenxin almost 24hrs a day!
this trip reminds me of being roomies in hall with wx... esp our 1st nite in the big room.. but why u nv slp with me :P
nvm nx time we go overseas ourselves hehe!

our instax group shots! the outdoor shots turned out much better than the indoor ones. we bought the same tee 24hrpartypeople to remember this trip by! =) love the color of the tee.

the parting shot of BK as we were turning into the airport. byebye BK! we will be back!

shall end here and blog more soon. stay tuned!

goodbye or see you,
I'll be your best kept secret or your biggest mistake.
