impulses that fill us up

promised not to buy any more clothes for the month of january
and i failed miserably - one agneselle dress that i wanted to manufacture myself but too late and hon and my fingers not fast enough, we are on backorder; one emerald romper, one grey very skinny leggings.
i saw a bag at charles & keith that i like
soft leather with gold hardware in a dark emerald shade
it looks like a miu miu or prada from far
but who am i kidding; i cant afford either one
will think about it till end of the month
i hardly fall in love with any particular bag but once i do, i will make sure its mine.

speaking of bags
i got to save up to buy that second hand LV Epi Noe when i go to HK in march! (hon won tickets to HK for some M1 promotion!! so that will help to save abit on air fare and accomodation)
red or mustard? its about S$500-$600 i remember.
its not available in singapore so thats the only way i can get my hands on this bag that i want so much. i think i will probably get it in mustard. more unique
pray that i can somehow remember where that shop was at.
this time i must go to Ocean's park and another visit to their wholesale centre.
although i am suddenly filled with the itch to go to Bangkok to buy their cheap shoes and clothes, but im excited to go HK with hon since it is his first trip there.
plus HK should be easy to navigate with the mrts and all that.

initially i was thinking of going to taiwan this year
but then i saw someone's trip to Boracay (this island in philippines)
and it looks so heavenly (ok next to maldives or phuket im not sure how it will fare but it definitely beats sentosa hands down)
and i want to try parasiling
so i thought of going there this year instead
go somewhere we have never been to
plus i really want to go on trips to just enjoy the sun, sea and sand
instead of only shopping and sightseeing
i suppose i can go taiwan next year
maybe can still squeeze in another BK trip hahaha
i miss take a nap! i want to explore the new rooms

anyway i realised this year i am able to differentiate the new year and the previous year very clearly
in the past i always get confused for the first week of the new year
keep thinking i am still in the previous year
write the wrong year when im writing dates
say the wrong year when im talking
but somehow in 2010, i really think of 2009 as gone and past and this year as 2010
maybe its a good sign

however i am quite shocked that its the year of the tiger already
gosh this is my 24th year of existence
i remember turning 21, and then i was 22, and i was like 'okay... still not that old'... then 23.. then 24 now... and it pains me deep inside to think that i will be 25 years nx year. omg.
25 years just sounds so old for us ladies :(
25 is the age whereby wrinkles start to appear, things start to go downhill, cellulite appear more prominently, elasticity of skin not so good, metabolism declines, more collagen needed, and the age to start using anti-aging products!!
however 25 doesnt sound old for guys. cause guys appreciate in value (by society) as they age (like wine) but women depreciate in value as we grow in number (and in size)
i bet i will be damn depressed on 31st dec 2010 as im about to turn 25.
quarter of a century old.
just thinking about it gives me the shivers.
i do not want to celebrate my birthday with candles anymore!!! hahah

next.. for the record, cause memory can be a lil slippery these days;
1. spent xmas eve 2009 watching Alvin & the chipmunks and stayover at hon's place. hon gave me the perfume that was on my wishlight for the longest time - Dior J'Adore. i love it cuz it makes me smell like a bunch of fresh lilies. i gave him kenneth cole perfume in return. quite a boring gift. but my card was quite cute hehe. will try harder nx year.

2. spent new year eve out at pasir ris park, @ Silvery Moon. that place is a blast. close to the sea, quiet enough, martinis 2 for $15 (2 for $12 on normal days - tried pineapple and soursop and mango flavored martinis. not bad but good o lychee martini was the best, came with 3 lychees), and there was enough variety in the menu. i had tom yam spagetti, sauce was sweet and hot, savoury. hon had some special chicken, not too bad. buffalos wings was ok, but was too full to really enjoy. they gave us free party poopers, fake snow spray (which i had alot of fun spraying), confetti which i pulled before it turned 12, and there was even a lucky draw but we did not win. we had wanted to win 2 long island teas :( aha but anyway there was this really cute ginger cat/kitten, sooo adorable it almost made me want to have such a cat in future. it was tame, cute and just the right shade of light brown. will totally go back there to dine again. it was a wonderful new year eve as we stared into the big round moon lying beside each other on the curtain mat that i brought along.

3. hon helped me dyed my hair. its burgundy, abit red now, but nobody realised the difference. i like it but i think it will fade very soon :( im going to pick blue black next time. want it to be really really dark. like gothic.

and i really need to go for my eyebrow touchup but i am so conscientious about the super overzealous dark brows thereafter. how to go to work like that. my brows are fading!! :(

enlightenment of the day:
me: why is it that after so long (after leaving img) that i still dont know what i want?
Howie: its not that you dont know what you want, but you have not found what you want. (gives me analogy about how i may see a nice dress/necklace and think i want that, but only until i try it then i will know whether i really want that or not)
me: omg *dawns upon me*, you are right!
Howie: *marvels at his own theory*
me: why is it that after so much trying i still cant find what i want?
Howie: be patient.....

note to self:
be patient, be patient, be patient.
and always think of back-up plans.

goodbye or see you,
I'll be your best kept secret or your biggest mistake.
