all so jaded

sometimes i am happy, sometimes i wonder if the happiness is all made-up
sometimes i think if there's anything to be unhappy about, really
or if i am just making things up

just like advertising and pr have grey areas, and can overlap,
my state of mind and emotions are grey too
sometimes i think its all too tiring, and there are too many things in the past dragging it down
but yet i cannot bear to let it go

every little memory comes to me when i try to recall life being single
and then i realise i really havent been single for a long long time, or almost none at all, if we start counting from after i was more mature (16?)
so i wonder how is it like to be single, not even liking anyone at all, no crushes, no feelings for the opposite sex, nothing..
and i realise and remember that when i was single, i always dreamt of having somebody for support, somebody to be there for me at all times
and sometimes its a dreadful feeling

love is sometimes like a habit, and its also a collection of items
things that you wont particularly notice everyday will become obvious to you after breakups
it could be a cup only, but you would recall that you bought this when shopping with that special person
it could be just envelopes, but you would remember how there used to be letters
and then you realise, everywhere you turn, in some corner of your room/house/environment, there's something that will remind you of the memories, a painful process while trying to forget
and then you consider throwing away things but yet, you dont want them to be gone permanently
love is like a habit too
every saturday, you may be used to spending it with that person
after breakup, you realise you have nowhere to go
or you feel weird staying at home

i also wonder if love is like a flight
at first, when taking off, it will be slow and stable..
and you can see the different stages, the plane moving along the runway, the plane travelling faster and faster till it lifts from the ground, and then finally it is ascending to great heights, and then at some point it will travel at a constant speed, stable and calm, but eventually it has to descend and stop.
if its really like a flight, does it mean that all relationships will come to an end eventually? i suppose so, because even if it survives through marriage, death will occur to one person first then the other...

slowly i think i am learning to see things in a different light
maybe understand things and situations better
or maybe its just acceptance that things have changed, will change, and maybe sometimes its just a matter of working out the differences

Signing off,
no more ink.
