"Who says Sg men are boring? Guy proposes to GF with bus stop ad at Dhoby Ghaut"

Watch how this guy propose to his gf!
Interestingly, i've been reading this girl's blog from time to time
i think she shares the same initials nsh as me.

although the whole proposal involves alot of preparation, thick skin as well as help from their friends/relatives, and i think it is darn sweet of the guy to put in so much effort into a proposal, personally im not a sucker for public proposals.

why?

1) it places too much pressure on both parties (although of course im sure the guy was 99.99% sure that she will say yes but still its too risky isnt it? or she might say yes in public and then return home and decide against it)

2) personally, i feel that a proposal should be done in a quiet, private setting. not literally has to be inside the bathroom of your own house but a restaurant, on top of a hill-top, or someplace meaningful would do. perhaps after both parties get down from an exhilarating rollercoaster ride or free fall (ie. Turbo drop) hahaha.. provided the ring doesnt fly off during the ride.

3) it is really none of the public's business when your bf proposes to you... so there's no need to let the whole world know. if you look at STOMP, there are many mean people in this country/world that left snide or negative remarks ranging from 'like that very big deal meh' to 'aiya sure divorce one la' to rumours like 'the girl drinks alot at pubs, and the guy isnt as faithful as you think'. Seriously, our world is filled with these disgusting people who are either green eyed or just plain crude. what is wrong with drinking at pubs? and does her drinking at pubs concern you? i never liked such media attention, perhaps i dont take well to criticism (or rather, just non-constructive bad-mouthing).

interestingly, the guy works at clear channel. hehe. so at least he probably got the ad space for free or at 'staff's price'.

getting married at 25 (that's the girl's age), it doesnt seem to be happening to me.
once so long ago, i dreamt of it.
and i thought or believed it was possible (when you are only 16, 25 sounds like a big deal and very far away)
now... Que Sera Sera..

goodbye or see you,
I'll be your best kept secret or your biggest mistake.
