“The first step towards getting somewhere is to decide that you are not going to stay where you are.”

i saw this quote,
isnt it brilliant?
i think it is very apt for hon now.

on hindsight, the past two months seems like they never happened
so brief, so non-lasting on my memory.
even at IMG i had some good colleagues to laugh and bitch together with
there were good memories, and i do miss them every much sometimes.
even though we worked crap hours, nobody was 高高在上.
i cant say the same things about my last job though.
though admittedly i suffered less hours and the pay was higher,
it just really wasnt something i could keep doing and be sane.
photocopying, scanning, printing, handling silly jobs which i really didn't learn from, and then more scanning. and what was it?
oh, attending to the wiring works for new telephone lines.
sometimes i wonder whether i was paid to be a human scanner/photocopier/printer operator.
i felt overpaid for the stuff i was doing but perhaps i was naive enough to believe or think that someone will guide me along and expose me to bigger things.
i did learn that sometimes, you cant judge a book by its cover.
and of course, i realize that actually i have many sides of me.
at work, i am cool and calm and no matter what, i wont shout or scream (except inside me)
and my belief that we should never pamper our clients is further reinforced.
imagine if i continue to stay on,
when will i see the light at the end of the tunnel, i wonder.
perhaps 3 months more down,
i would still be doing the very same things that i didnt think i signed up for.
i got to say, there were some people who were very nice to me, standing in the same boat as me, and i will remember how they helped me.
perhaps pay them a visit sometime.
but ever felt repulsed yet weirdly drawn to something?
i guess that somewhat describes my feelings.

oh well, tomorrow is a new start
i cant say for sure i will love everything about it
but i will make the best out of it
and having joined in for eftc's chinese new year dinner,
i look forward to being part of the xmas party at the end of this year too.
and certainly, i feel as if my 2010 is just going to start.
i came a long way, 3 jobs in one year since i graduated.
it was like a rainbow of chaos.
but i believe
"A hard beginning maketh a good ending."

btw, the movie/musical "nine" is really good. i love the songs in it, maybe i will buy the soundtrack/dvd when it comes out. i think i would place it as one of my favourite movies! very enjoyable.

fergie's voice was so powerful singing 'Be Italian'.
watch it here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H5bbuXndMW4&feature=fvw

Be Italian
Be Italian
take a chance and try to steal a fiery kiss
be Italian
be Italian
when you hold me don’t just hold me but hold this
please be gentle, sentimental
go ahead and try to give my cheek a pat
but be daring and uncaring
when you pinch me try to pinch me where there’s fat
HA!
be a singer be a lover
pick the flower now before the chance is past
be Italian
be Italian
live today as if it may become your last!

'My Husband Makes Movies' was nice too.
The french actress Marion Cotillard was very elegant.
and she was darn sexy in the last part singing 'Take It All', sliding across the dancefloor.

nicole kidman was very very alluring too. tall, beautiful, love her!
the only actress whom i usually like but dont think she fitted well in this movie
was kate hudson.
its abit like trying to put zoe tay or fiona xie in a period drama. nah.
talking about the movie makes me want to watch it again!

you can catch the trailer at the website at

goodbye or see you,
I'll be your best kept secret or your biggest mistake.
