valentine day, chinese new year, and recess week

it is quite cool to have valentine day and CNY in the same week. and then following closely behind is recess week.

valentine day is a day that singles dread (especially when u go to orchard road and everywhere is a couple with a bouquet of flowers. haha - i still remember jiaen n me going to orchard to watch a -_- horror movie on v day in 2003..), and a day whereby flowers are exhorbitantly prized.. i think those who stay in hall are quite lucky, got flower service then its much cheaper.. we receive 2 orders of 99 roses, one is a vietnamese who wants to give to his secret admirer (i blurted that i want to marry him when i heard that HAHA.. but den it might be freaky if u suddenly find so much roses on ur doorstep without a name..) and the other person.. haha i dont wanna or shall not say who.. still waiting to see whos the urm urm recipient..

i tell everyone i nv celebrate v day one, and almost nobody believe me. or at least not before asking me "why?".. i always thought what i told them was a very reasonable answer, that everything is so ex.. its just a overrated day.. i mean, u dont nid v day to declare love or show it.. and this is still true in my opinion.. however, that day i was telling someone (i forgot who; maybe jieming) about the "first" v day, or maybe the most memorable one. haha. whereby me and TK actually agreed not to celeb, and i was to go out with my work frens.. but in e end the other girl cannot make it, so i had dinner with the 2 guys. when he found out, we had a argument.. wic made me feel angry cuz we already agreed mah! and he went "how cld u be with 2 other guys on v day instead?" piang.. no wonder i called him xiao qi gui.. haha..i say that in jest tho..

maybe that incident caused me to have this indifferent attitude towards v day ba.. hmm but i sort of rmb vaguely telling R back in secondary sch days that we shant celeb it either. (tt time cuz i haf no idea wat to buy him.. and so i wanted to spare him the torment too) so mayb i was just born with this thinking.

i guess when u just get into a r/s or when u are courting someone, V day means alot more ba.. more exciting, cuz it is probably the first or first few times u are expressing ur feelings to tt special person.. but after some time, V day just feels like another day.

and since v day is a wednesday this year, and i am in hall, all the more it seems normal to me. not having to see all the mushy couples in orchard, good. haha.. i bet no one believes wat i just said either, but i din write to convince anyone but as a memory..

there are so many things that i dont know, but i shall take them one at a time..

Signing off,
no more ink.
