i didnt hear u leave, i wonder why am i still here?

My Dream

i dreamt,
again
i swear i didnt think of him
as i sang my lullaby
somehow he appeared
or should i say
the dream deity took me
into his life
tho' his face didnt even appear

i stepped into his house
some place i went before
not a decade ago
not even one-quarter of a decade
in it i was like a spy
gaining access like a fly
in his room i went
his sister my partner in crime
but my efforts in vain
as i forgot to ask for her number
so i could try once more

in any case
dreams dont come true
in fact
what you dream become the opposite
in reality
hence
i didnt take this dream seriously
especially because i have
such dreams before
too many to count
yet the meaning too sparse

i do find it amusing
why i still dream of him
when i'm trying to get over this
is it God's way of reimbusing me
knowing well i never see him
around in tampines
there was never a happing
tho' a short distance it is

but now i have learnt to
take it in my stride
as i know it makes no difference
whether i see him or not
thus
i shall just treat my dreams of him
a reel substitute for real
a consolation prize
a 2nd-hand good
whatever
i should just forget it
harping on this dream
wont help me.

Signing out,
c'est la vie & life goes on...
